The Off
Broadway Hotel is located at 1 Bay Street Broadway (02) 9212 5560
Happy hour is usually 5pm to 7pm Monday to Fridays with $2.50 schooners.
Fridays, from 9pm, live bands are featured. It's when the bar starts
to become a night club and you need to pay to get in. Otherwise it's free
entry before 9.
The best time to arrive is around 6:30pm to 7:00pm.
The Bistro Menu is value for money. Try one of Arthur Pelekis's Broadway
Burgers for $6:00 and you'll see what we mean!
Arthur is the only one behind the bistro so we advise that you order
and eat the moment you get there. No need to wait for others to arrive.
After all, one chef and 30 orders would be a long wait!
If you're just wanting a beer then get there early and take advantage
of happy hour. You can take your drinks into the bistro area and watch
the tv screens while you imbibe.
The Off Broadway Hotel is easily reached by the following three routes.
1. Take the monorail from the city and get off at the Power House Museum
stop. Walk up and over the bridge past the Power House Museum and keep
walking in a straight line until you reach Bay Street then turn left (and
keep walking until you're almost at the end).
2. Take the train to Central Station and a bus from the main bus terminal
at Railway Square on George Street. Most buses stop just before the Broadway
shopping centre. (Alternately you could walk it. It's not that far.)
3.Drive in! The Broadway Shopping Centre has a huge under cover car
park that's free to shoppers. (2 hour limit)
After 9pm we usually go up to the food and cinema level
for a coffee.
